Big wins in rivalry games for Deep Run and J.R. Tucker, Henrico and Highland Springs roll while Glen Allen escapes Mechanicsville with the "W".

Deep Run defeated Mills Godwin 54-45, using an 18-9 third quarter run to seal the margin of victory and advance to 4-1. The Eagles, led by Jacob Kessler's 15 points, fell to 4-2.

Glen Allen won its second straight low-scoring war this week, surviving 46-44 at Lee-Davis. Confederate standout Ladarein Autry was in foul trouble all night, not scoring his first field goal until early in the 4th quarter. He had 7 points. Grayson Midulla led all scorers with 19 for Glen Allen, now 4-1 and off to Highland Springs for a 2:30pm matinee Saturday against the Springers.

The Springers rolled over Atlee in Mechanicsville 100-74 to move to 3-1. Defending state champion Henrico rolls on, 90-67 winners over Varina. The Warriors are 2-0.

J.R. Tucker gets a huge home win over Douglas Freeman 61-53 as Paul Flowers scored 11 for the 3-3 Tigers. Freeman, now an unusual 1-4, got 13 points from Sinclair Farinholt. Tucker built an early 19-10 lead after a quarter to hold the lead for most of the game. The Tigers host Patrick Henry Tuesday night.

Hermitage was idle tonight.
