County Teams 1-2 in Day 1 of Henrico Holiday Hoops...

The hosts move on, while the Panthers and Jaguars taste defeat in Day 1 of the 2013 Henrico Holiday Hoops Tournament at Henrico High School.

Despite an uneven second half performance, the Henrico Warriors put away the pesky Atlee Raiders 69-57 to advance to the semifinals. Now 7-1, the Warriors will face Midlothian in Friday's first championship semifinal. The Trojans defeated Hermitage in the second quarterfinal 67-53. The Panthers fell to 1-6 despite a monster performance by Robbie Osbourne, who had a double-double with 19 points and 18 rebounds.

Glen Allen, in the third quarterfinal, went nip and tuck for 32 minutes with Meadowbrook before missing key free throws late to fall to the Monarchs 57-52. Grayson Midulla led the Jaguars (4-4) with 17 points, while Derrick Johnson added 12. The Jaguars get a familiar foe in Friday's consolation semifinal: the Hanover Hawks. Hanover fell to 5A state title contender Potomac 76-58.

Friday's lineup at Henrico:

2:30: Atlee vs. Hermitage
4:00: Glen Allen vs. Hanover
5:30: Henrico vs. Midlothian (Championship Semifinal I)
7:15: Potomac vs. Meadowbrook (Championship Semifinal II)
